he Western Massachusetts Food Processing Center will open in late September as anticipated! The shared commercial kitchen incubator will offer residents of Franklin County and surrounding areas use of processing equipment without the expensive investment. Other special services offered are business technical assistance, business lending and multiple resources to assist people on how to craft their products. The Food Processing Center has the potential to generate new revenues for processors in the specialty food business and to help agriculture markets in local businesses.

Andrea Kohles, the Center’s new Program Manager, has met with several potential users for the Food Processing Center including agricultural producers, caterers, mobile cart vendors, and micro entrepreneurs. She looks forward to the day the doors open and can assist people to achieve their goals.
